The Paper Shredding Index

Certified destruction for documents that never needed to survive the day.

What We Do

The Paper Shredding Index accepts any document you drag into the slot — typed, blank, or purely symbolic — and reduces it to a certified cloud of digital confetti, assessed in full by the Bureau of Paper Dissolution.

Every shred produces its own certificate number, its own itemized breakdown of structural losses, and a verdict the Bureau considers final.

A Note on Privacy

Nothing you type into the document is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored anywhere. It exists only in your browser for exactly as long as it takes to be shredded, after which the Bureau has no record it ever existed.

This is not a policy. It's a technical limitation the Bureau has chosen to be proud of.

Methodology

Each report totals a random selection of itemized losses — Fiber Alignment Deviation, Static Cling Surcharge, Ink Bleed Carryover, and similar line items — measured in Shred Units, a unit the Bureau invented and has never defined.

Strip Width Variation, Confetti Density, and Emotional Impact are calculated using a proprietary formula the Bureau is not prepared to disclose, mostly because it does not have one.

Certification

Every report is certified, filed, and the original document is, without exception, gone. Reassembly Probability is measured and reported anyway, purely for ceremony.

Legal

The Paper Shredding Index is provided for entertainment purposes only. Shred Units (SU) have no monetary value, exchange value, or value of any kind.
